Platelet identification by flow cytometry For assessment of platelet activation, mouse platelets were washed in HEPES-Tyrode buffer and treated with or without thrombin (0.010.02 U/mL, ChronoLog, Cat# 386), collagen-related peptides (0.0250.05 g/mL, Cambcol, Cat#: CRP-XL), U46119 (0.11 M, Sigma D8174), and ADP (520 M, Sigma A2754) followed by incubation for 20 min with fluorescently labeled antibodies against P-selectin (Wug.E9, FITC, Emfret analytics, Wrzburg, Germany) or activated IIb3 integrin (JON/A, PE, Emfret analytics, Wrzburg, Germany)
